Native American women playwrights archive, 1967-2009, bulk 1978-2007.

The Native American Women Playwrights Archive is a collection of original materials by Native women playwrights of the Americas. NAWPA hopes to identify playwrights, collect and preserve their work, try to make it widely known, and encourage performances and continued creativity. NAWPA welcomes playwrights at any level of development. The archive includes both published and unpublished plays as well as related materials such as programs, posters and flyers, photographs, video and audio tapes, reviews, articles, correspondence, and biographical and professional information regarding the playwright. The archive also includes materials related to the formation of the archive as well as materials relating to conferences and events sponsored by the archive. The archive also serves as a repository for Spiderwoman Theater.
